Dev Log 4 (9/12/2024)


Hello Everyone,

My name is Darragh, and I am responsible for VFX, Modelling, and some programming in Neon Nights. I have attached a video for you to checkout the VFX currently implemented.

Since the last devlog, we had our first playtest that provided a lot of great feedback for us to work on and bugs for us to squash. 

On the art side, we have made progress on creating the environment art and assets, including a tilemap in the style of a circuit board.

On the programming side, as mentioned above, bugs discovered during the playtest are being dealt with, and balance is being applied.

We also submitted our project plan to our supervisors.

Moving forward for this week, we plan to continue sorting out bugs, creating our own player animations, continuing asset work, making a dash VFX, making all previous VFX into prefabs and creating a pause and main menu.
